Maria Meshcherskaya is a member of a princely family, whose title was recognized by the Russian Empire. She was born in Moscow, Russia. Her early childhood was spent in Prague, Czechia. Maria attended a private school in Moscow and an international school in Prague. She graduated from the Higher School of Economics in 2018. Soon after she founded ARV (an art-based network) and moved to New York. Maria acquired an MA in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art in 2021 and has been an academic sponsor for the Northeastern University through the 2019-2022 term.

She lives and works in New York.
